Heath Hoops was established in Fleet in January 2006 for
women who wanted to come back to netball for fun and to get fit.
However, due to increased numbers, any new players (over the age of 18) wanting to join will now need to be put on our waiting list. Please CONTACT US for more details.
The club has a well rounded system which allows every
member to play for fun whilst also providing those with a competitive streak
the opportunity to play within the local league.
We currently have two league teams entered in the Wavell Invitation Netball League, one in the seventh division and the other in the eighth division.
We meet every Thursday at the community centre on Elvetham
Heath in Fleet at 8pm.
Each week we usually train for 30 minutes before playing games for the last hour.
At 9.30 most players make their way across the road to the pub for a friendly
drink.

Heath Hoops C 66 vs Stardom 24
Report by: Emma B
Heath Hoops C headed out this week to face Stardom who we played a few weeks ago.
We settled in quickly to the game showing confidence throughout the court. Louise joined us this week for her first shot at GK and alongside Sam M and Vicky they put up a defence to be reckoned with. Amy, Tina and Judith worked great together in attack and made some fantastic passes into the goal. The goals poured in giving us our biggest score yet 66-24 !
A fantastic effort ladies ! A big thank you to Tina for helping us out and Lesley for all her encouragement and coaching throughout the game!
Heath Hoops C 41 vs 13 Alexanders
Report by Emma B
This week we headed off to play Alexanders and were eager to keep up our winning streak. We were minus a couple of players due to injury so Amy and Tina from the B team kindly stepped in to give us a hand by playing and umpiring.
Alexanders were a strong team and were marking us tightly but we played each quarter with more and more confidence. Our defending was spot on with some brilliant interceptions being made. The ball was being worked well down the court and into the goal. By the last quarter, we felt relaxed in our efforts so we had a shuffle of players. All our hard work paid off and once again we came away with a victory.
Many thanks to everyone that played.
Heath Hoops C 40 vs Giftware 23
Report by: Chloe
With all three of the Hoops teams playing on Monday night we wanted to play a competitive friendly against new opponents and show that, on the night, all of our teams are a force to be reckoned with!
This we did as we led in the first quarter 11-3 and maintained that lead until the end when the final score was 40-23. Each quarter saw one player substituted in order to try out people in different positions and see which combinations worked well together. This was a success and has given the team lots to think about for the future. Long may our winning ways continue!
Heath Hoops A 38 vs Tequila Shots 25
Report by: Morag
Thank you to Tequila Shots for hosting another Hoops team at Wavell on Monday night. Shots were one player short, so Hoops A subbed them a player each quarter. Both teams saw the opportunity of this friendly to try different combinations and happy to say, Hoops were happy with the way things went and that we are now beginning to settle with players in other positions, becoming what we hope is a versatile team. Both teams played the friendly in the manner intended and had lots of fun, the umpires joining in the on court banter too. Well done to everyone - perhaps we play better when we relax and enjoy our netball!!
Heath Hoops C vs Silver Stars
Report by: Emma B
After such a lovely sunny day, the C Team were in high spirits as we descended once again to Sandhurst to face the Silverstars (some of the team even braved it and ditched their tracksuits!).
We had a couple of new faces in the team tonight and we were all looking forward to a challenge and that is exactly what we got. We started out the first quarter really strong and took the lead.
Over the next two quarters though, Silverstars started to edge back into the picture and the score line narrowed. The game started to resemble a pin ball machine with the ball flying all over the place due to some fantastic interceptions by both teams.
It was a nail biting last quarter and it was getting to the stage where we were matching goal for goal. Everyone was giving it their all. Silverstars were not going to let us get off lightly and really stepped up their game. Luckily, all our effort paid off and we ended up with a 22-17 victory.
Many thanks for everyone that took part!
Good Result Ladies!

Well done everyone on a great match last night. The passing was great and we worked the ball really well up the court. Shooting was spot on ladies.
Emma, hope you are back soon!
Heath Hoops B 37 vs 14 Doodlebugs B/C
Report by: Fran
Heath Hoops B took another victory on Monday evening against Doodlebugs B/C. The team settled down quickly and put out a superb performance. Amy was on fine shooting form as GS particularly with distance shots, ably partnered by Tina who gained shooting confidence as the match went on and fought her GD tirelessly. Deidre as WA and Hels then Anne-Marie as C dominated centre court finding space and coming onto the ball to support the Hoops attack. Helen as WD had a brilliant game, fighting for balls, holding her space and demonstrating her skill to assist both the Hoops attack and defence. Susan and Laura are a strong defensive combination – Susan held out the nippy GA and Laura used her long reach to intercept balls much to the frustration of the Doodlebugs girls.
A solid team performance – well done to all. The next game is against W Store on 15th June.
